The artist lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.

Biado's artistic practice is characterized by his distinct color palette and dynamic compositions executed with deliberate line work and rhythmic mark-making. His canvases often depict imagined realms inhabited by non-human figures, including goblins and anthropomorphic creatures, which serve as vehicles for exploring psychological states and narratives. Describing his work as “Goblin Baroque,” these figures navigate dreamlike environments, inviting contemplation on themes of beauty, interior vs exterior lives, and the construction of alternative realities.

Influences on Biado's work are multifaceted and varied, yet the constant thread is an exploration of surrealist preoccupations with the unconscious and the dreamworld, as well as expressionist tendencies towards emotions. Through both his solo practice and collaborative project, A History of Frogs, Biado further reveals an engagement with speculative histories and the reimagining of cultural artifacts. In Spring 2025, the artist will release his first monograph dedicated to his works on paper.
