Sunset: THE JUBILATION OF THE BABOONS

The film is intended to visually capture the sense of waning consciousness as we drift off to sleep. It shows a container ship being loaded and readied for departure, sending huge quantities of raw materials, products and goods across the world. Steve shot the film over the port of LA, it was edited in part using AI software (Runway) and it has a completely original soundtrack. The reference to baboons is drawn from the Egyptian Amduat, which serves as the overarching inspiration for the project The Hours.
